News has been pouring in of our successes at recent Scent Work Trials!

Becky Clippinger in Colorado writes, “It was a good weekend for Team Manny! He qualified in 5 runs, and placed in all of those: 2 fourth place wins, 2 third place wins, and 1 first place win. He also finished his exterior advanced element title. It is so much fun to handle a dog that loves to work as much as Manny does. One of the judges today told me that I have an amazing dog. I couldn’t agree more.

From Cheryl Miller reports from the Tucson Trial: “In Tucson this weekend for a Sonoran Desert Scent Work Club trial. Started off rocky with me tripping in a hole on the trail and spraining my ankle. Saturday was perfect—4 elements and 4 Q’s with 1st place in handler discrimination (thanks Elissa Driver for the scent training item!) our first attempt! 4th in exterior, 4th in containers and 10th in buried (finally got it!) Sunday—4th in exterior, 6th in containers and 7th in buried. Only miss was handler discrimination. Thanks to Billie Rosen for sharing her incredible nose work knowledge. Susan Shorb and Janet Merrick Laman what a dream of a pup!

And from Sandi Kenney-Winters and Mike in the Tucson Trials, “What a weekend! There’s no stopping these two! Charlee Rose finished her Scent Work Master Title today along with a Scent Work Master Exterior Elite Title and came home with 5 Q’s! Pretty good for a two year old! We’re off to do some detective work!
